John Krummen

John Krummen, Executive Vice-President and General Manager of Peterson Power Systems, is responsible for all personnel and operations at Peterson Power Systems, Inc.

John is driven by a passion for our industry and for growing our business. He got his start working with diesel engines in 1989 after taking a job as a trainee mechanic for Peterson Tractor Co. in Martinez, California. In the years that followed, John advanced through various service, sales, and management roles at the dealership before eventually being named Vice-President of Product Support in 2004.

In 2011, John left the earthmoving division to lead our recently purchased Navistar dealer: Peterson Trucks, Inc. One year later, he transferred leadership of this new enterprise to assume the lead at Peterson Power Systems, Inc. In the 10+ years that followed, John has overseen a business that has quintupled in revenue, adding new customers and industries served each year.

Throughout his career, John has been a key liaison with our partners at Caterpillar, Inc. and the union representing Peterson employees. He also serves as an officer in our retirement trust, where he has overseen the profitable and ever-growing portfolio of assets that assure all Peterson employees a comfortable retirement.

John and his wife, Jill, have been married for 33 years and have two daughters: Jenna and Jaklyn. He has a degree in Business Operations. John’s motivating passions are safety, family, employees, and customers: what we do matters!
