Peterson Power Systems Receives 2007 Winner of the Year Award
from Waste Management Board

Peterson Power Systems Inc., the authorized Caterpillar Power Systems dealership for northern California as well as central and southern Oregon, has been named one of the Winners of the Year by the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) as part of CIWMB’s Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP). The dealership is one of five California companies to receive the accolade for exemplary waste reduction and resource efficiency.

“This is the culmination of a year-long initiative at Peterson Power to introduce more environmentally friendly business practices into our enterprise,” explains Tom Bagwell, Marketing Manager. “We’ve reviewed and revised our operating procedures relating to vehicle fleet maintenance, office recycling programs, facilities upkeep, and purchasing options to better reflect our commitment to sound environmental practices. A major component of our program is a parts remanufacturing option we offer in conjunction with Caterpillar Inc., where replaced parts are returned to the factory for retooling and reuse, and which significantly reduces the amount of scrap material discarded each year.”
