Peterson Holding Company has an immediate opening for a Continuous Improvement Project Manager working out of our San Leandro Corporate office. In this role, the project manager will be responsible for providing leadership in identifying and developing process improvements in a retail environment using Six Sigma methodology and other process improvement tools. Company will provide the necessary training upon hire.
Candidate should fulfill the requirements below:
• Ability to be an effective change agent to implement strategic initiatives throughout the company.
• A.A or A.S. Degree preferred or equivalent work experience or combination thereof.
Ideal candidate would fulfill these additional requirements:
• Experience in application of continuous improvement tools in a service and transactional based organization is a plus.
• Experience with managing project teams with direct responsibility for people development.

| PREFERRED SKILLS |

• Excellent problem solving, technical writing, presentation, negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills. It is crucial that the candidate be an independent thinker and a team player or team leader (as the project role requires).
• Must be able to utilize both written and oral format to effectively communicate critical project information.
• Key leadership attributes: Teamwork; Results Focused; Intellect: Interpersonal
• Strong analytical skills
• Effective project management skills (one year or more) and ability to influence at all levels of the company.
