Job Title: PSSR-On Highway Vehicles
Location: San Leandro Power
 
JOB DESCRIPTION
Peterson Power Systems is hiring an On-Highway Vehicles- PSSR to promote and sell company parts and service capabilities by calling upon our existing customers and generating new leads for future business. They are to coordinate the shop work flow up to and including ordering parts, communicating with our customers, processing work orders and scheduling appointments. Position also requires customer sales calls in the field. The status and scope of the job includes: • Working with the service manager, performs a variety of duties relevant to promoting and selling Caterpillar parts and service capabilities including Non-Caterpillar parts and service both inside and outside of our facility. Maintains close liaisons with our service shop, parts department personnel and our customers. Work to develop and establish new business and a continued positive relationship with our current customer base. Coordinates with parts and service personnel and other sales related departments to complete the repair process on time and consistently exceeding all customers’ expectations. PSSR’s will work under occasional supervision while performing a variety of duties including, but not limited to the following tasks: • Promote and sell on-highway vehicle parts and company service capabilities; inspect customer on-highway vehicles; develop proposals and estimates; prepare and deliver quotations; develop and sell annual maintenance contracts • Work closely with the Service Writer and Service Manager to open and close work orders, manage SWIP, review work orders for accuracy, manage parts, labor and misc. charges • Instruct the service department personnel regarding; established repair times; expedite parts orders; coordinate vehicle transport and schedule appointments • Plan daily sales calls itinerary; make sales calls on existing and prospective customers; monitor/update call lists and manage customer database, (sales link) • Follow up with the customer to ensure that the company has met their needs; the service repair is complete and done to the satisfaction of the customer. Maintain good customer relations; intercede to solve problems and disputes; look for ways to enhance customer relations within scope of the company mission statement • Cooperate, communicate and work closely with sales, service, parts and Caterpillar personnel to ensure customer satisfaction • Must be available during off hours and weekends to take calls from our customer to handle emergency situations • Maintain and keep current customer equipment inventory using CRM; log future customer maintenance; keep up with new products and developments that are relevant to our customers • Sell value through cost improvement by submitting cost improvement proposals to our customers; understand the competition to maintain the company’s competitive edge. PREFERRED SKILLS
• Associate degree in a related field and 5 to 7 years of similar sales experience, or the equivalent. • Must possess an extensive knowledge of on-highway trucks and other on-highway vehicles along with a working knowledge of the construction equipment product line. • Must have a good understanding of the territory and its service needs and keep abreast of relevant competition within the area that the company serves. • Requires excellent verbal/written and interpersonal skills. • Commitment to excellence and high standards • Ability to work with all levels of management • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills • Ability to manage priorities and workflow • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions. • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels. • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions • Proficient on Microsoft office suite, CRM
