| JOB DESCRIPTION |
|
Peterson is in need of an EPG Technician to perform service and installation activities primarily in the field for power generation systems customers. This position will perform the following service operations with occasional supervision:
• Pre-delivery setup, installation, and start-up on all makes and models of Caterpillar generator engines, generators, and related products.
• Level 1 and Level 2 generator system service.
• Repair, replace or rebuild engines and related systems and components.
• Write service reports that accurately document activities.
• Prepare required documentation including work orders, parts lists, and time cards in an accurate and timely manner to enable other employees to do their job in a timely manner.
Other job functions include maintaining a safe working environment and observe all safety procedures, laws, policies, and rules, communicate with internal and external customers in a manner that promotes a positive relationship, and work overtime as needed within labor law guidelines. Travel is needed to meet customer service requirements including overnight stays. Must be willing to be on call to respond to customer service needs during the evenings, weekends, and holidays. |

| PREFERRED SKILLS |
|
An Associate\'s degree in a related field and four (4) years power generation service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Candidates for this position must have a lift truck operator certificate, must be able to maintain a tool inventory sufficient to perform assigned tasks, must maintain a satisfactory driving record, and must have completed a certified electrical safety course. |
