Peterson's Clam Bucket |
|
The first clam bucket was built to harvest peat on Bethel Island in the California Delta region in the early 1950s. "One customer had a dump in Concord who was complaining that his loader couldn't hold onto long objects because they wouldn't stay in the bucket. So we built him a bucket with a lid on it," explains retired Peterson engineer, Don Stroot. When customers started using them to tear down buildings, Buster strengthened the design with heavier steel and the Demolition Bucket was born. back |
