At 23, Trevor Mosher made history by being the youngest mechanic to earn a Peterson field service truck. He is also one of Peterson's first graduates of the ThinkBIG apprentice training program which debutted in 2002. In May 2004, Trevor graduated with top honors and four days later, went full-time at Peterson's San Martin store where he had interned. According to boss Brian Kennedy (Svc Mgr), "Trevor is a great asset to the San Martin store and Peterson as a whole. As an apprentice, he was always very dedicated about taking on new challenges. After graduating, we moved him onto bigger jobs in the shop and he did a terrific job even though the difficulty level was above someone with his degree of experience at that time." Finally, in September 2005, he got his own Peterson field truck, the ultimate goal for most mechanics.

His very first field job was at Granite Rock in Santa Cruz. Since then he's worked for many of Peterson's customers out of the San Martin area which serves the southern-most part of Peterson's California territory. "It's a completely different atmosphere out in the field," says Trevor. "There's more pressure on you because you represent the Company. You're on your own, making your own judgment calls, and that's what will make you or break you."

The ThinkBIG program was a launching pad for Trevor. "ThinkBIG is a great program and whoever can get into it, should. It just makes your life that much easier. I learned more in those 2 years than ever in my life." Of course attitude is also key to success. The year Trevor earned his field truck, he'd also gotten married and bought a house. All at the age of 23. A mix of enthusiasm, teachability, great training, and drive is what has made him a winner here at Peterson, and in life.
