REPAIRING BEST STEAMER THE OLD FASHIONED WAY

When the Best Steamer No. 185 came back to Peterson's shop for repairs in 2004, SL machinist, Rich Butler had the opportunity to work on it. He repaired the pinion drives the old-fashioned way ... with a hand-grinder ... in keeping with the traditions the "Best" crew have adopted in its upkeep.

Rich Butler is a journeyman tech and master machinist that has worked for Peterson since 1989. He is an example of the high caliber of people that work at Peterson.
